Build Your Happiness!

There’s a home improvement program where the renovation expert wears a t-shirt with the words Build Your Happiness on it. Great idea, right?

A home renovation isn’t the only place you can build your happiness. You can build happiness in lots of ways, such as take your kids out for a day filled with fun activities (or just take yourself out for a fun-filled day!), plan a vacation (even if it’s a staycation!), cook a special dinner for someone (even if you’re the only diner!); the list goes on and on. Don’t restrict building happiness to yourself – you can contribute to building happiness for others too, such as hold the door open for someone (with a smile on your face and a friendly greeting!), let someone in front of you in traffic (without screaming at them!), generously compliment your server at the restaurant (in words, not in dollars); the list goes on and on.

Proverbs 17:22; A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.

Now, go out and Build Your Happiness.
